Are these dark web book links legal?
That’s a grey area. However, be sure to read through this section before you continue.
So, I do not personally know if a link is legal or illegal. That’s because these dark web book libraries are updated frequently and completely at the site’s own discretion. I’ve no affiliation to any of the mentioned site whatsoever.
However, at times, they may be used to share pirated/stolen books and ideas. Downloading/reading those material may be illegal.
Also, I haven’t checked every single book uploaded on every single link that I’m sharing. So, it’s quite possible that illegal books are uploaded as well due to the very nature of the dark web.
Because I’ve no affiliation to any of these deep web book sites, I can’t guarantee the legality or even the authenticity of the uploaded material.
Hence, it’s your duty to ascertain the legality of all the content/downloadable material you come across. This article and its creators can’t be held responsible for any of your actions.
Safety tips
Nothing is ever safe on the dark web. Both from a technical, as well as a legal standpoint.
So, here are a few points you should keep in mind:
- Make sure your TOR browser is fully updated.
- Do not click on download links you aren’t 100% sure about. It may be malware.
- Always use a VPN. Some of these links may be honeypot and can be used to blackmail/trap you. (I’d recommend NordVPN. It’s one of the cheapest VPNs with the strongest and safest features).
Let’s get you the dark web book links you came here for then?
Dark Web Books Sites Links
1. Z-Library
Onion link: http://zlibrary24tuxziyiyfr7zd46ytefdqbqd2axkmxm4o5374ptpc52fad.onion/
This is one of the oldest, most popular, most well-stocked, and just the best organized dark web book links in my opinion.
It has over 10,166,900 books in its collection today. Not just books, it also hosts articles. In fact, over 84, 837, 646 articles are available as of April 2022. This is probably the biggest number as far as dark web book links go.
The site does require signing up. It offers 5 free downloads everyday. The paid plans offer more downloads, faster speeds, download history access, Telegram bot etc. Also has a “donation” feature. These are cheaper ways to get more downloads without paying a bigger amount.
It has literally the best UI on this entire list. You can search for books using name, ISBN, md5, publisher name etc. For each book, the book’s cover is shown which makes recognition easier.
It even has advanced features such as “booklists”, “favourites”, and book requests.
2. Imperial Library

There’s a very simple search-bar. You can key-in your book name there and it shows the results. The also generally include a photo of the book’s cover. This helps avoid any wrong downloads.
Unlike Z-Library, Imperial Library doesn’t need any registration. Most of the books are in English but non-English books are available as well.
Each book listing has two buttons, “download/read it”. Clicking on read it open’s the book in Imperial Library’s book-reader. It has the index helping you directly skip to different chapters on the book. It’s 100% free.

As the name suggests, it’s a dark web book link for the Bible. Being on the Tor network, it grants “everyone” access. Meaning, even if the Bible is illegal in your country, or just not socially accepted, you can read it here.
Now, this Bible can either be downloaded entirely, or, can be read online. It’s available in over 20 different languages! Not just languages, you can choose from over a dozen different translations including Darby, NET, Webster, Geneva and many others.
And then, you can even choose from one of the many books such as John, Nahun, Matthew, Mark, Luke and so on. There’s even a chapter selector.

4. The Anarchist Library
Onion link: http://libraryqxxiqakubqv3dc2bend2koqsndbwox2johfywcatxie26bsad.onion/special/index
This is another dark web link that lets you download books. The site has about 12255+ books listed as of today.
The listings unfortunately do not have a thumbnail of the book. Hence, you must check the other available data to download the correct book. Each listing shows the author’s name, release year, topics covered in the book and other such information.
The books can be downloaded in multiple formats. These include PDF (multiple sizes), HTML, plain text, ePUB and so on.
There’s no specialized reader on the site, however, the books can be read by manual scrolling. Again, no registration required. 100% free.

http://nv3x2jozywh63fkohn5mwp2d73vasusjixn3im3ueof52fmbjsigw6ad.onion/
As the name hints, it’s a book link for comic books. As of today, it has exactly 2843 books. You can filter the books using title, publisher’s name, creators, year etc.
If you’re just in for random fun, clicking on its “random” button gives you comics at random. There also is a search bar which can be used instead.
All comics are one-click downloads. Absolutely no signing up or payments required. These can’t be read on the site. You’re in for a delight if you’ve got a crunch for vintage comics.
6. Just Another Library
Onion link: http://i45r477vjegjep6x7cqlgt7lihkzyeaqq5nzpt5spa3fgqbbg27zw6qd.onion/
That’s the actual name of the site. It’s not just limited to books but also hosts audiobooks and courses.
For the listed books, there’s no text description. You just get the book cover thumbnail.
The downloads are one-click. Again, no signing up or registration is required. Do note that at times the download links may not work. (The site is always live, it’s the download links which go down temporarily).
As far as “category” of books go, it has everything adult books are in the majority. Also has an “upload” button, let’s you upload books if you wish to.
7. 16 Chan Library
Onion link: http://mbv5a7cc6756lkpqts6si5zcpxwvd43cyb4atbqzjqypktsdoftphyqd.onion/library/
This isn’t a direct book link like the options above. Rather, it’s a link to 16 Chan, one of the most popular image boards on the dark web. It has a “Library” board, that’s where the link above will take you.
Think of it like a forum where people upload random books according to their own likes and preferences.
You can’t search for specific books. However, because it’s extremely social, you can request other for the books you need. Do note that downloads will almost always lead to third-party sites.
8. THE TE5 FURRY COMICS SCANS
Onion link: http://te5djpo3shwwz6dgkhg6yvwc4skego6jzojo5khrs2uqsmvhbtgujnid.onion
This is unique. It’s some individual who decided to host comic books on his own internet. It doesn’t have thousands of uploads, about 50 comics at best can be found.
It being a directory, you can download any comic you want simply by clicking on it once. No registration, signup or payment needed.
Do note that because it’s an individual project, downloading multiple books at the same time may lead to bandwidth overload and failed downloads.
9. MEGA
Onion link: http://mega.nz/folder/SlhihQKb#0ggUkIVF4bZcug2Ms2Wu1g.onion
This is just someone’s MEGA uploads I randomly stumbled upon. MEGA is just like a cloud storage/file sharing service like Google Drive. This specific folder has books on hacking.
Because the drive is public, downloads are allowed and free. You can either download the files as ZIP, or import them to your own MEGA cloud library.
It does have a “preview” option which shows samples pages from the book before you download a book.
10. Lenin Internet Archive
Onion link: http://marxists3va6eopxoeiegih3iyex2zg3tmace7afbxjqlabmranzjjad.onion/archive/lenin/index.htm
This dark web book link is dedicated to Lenin. His works and biography can be found here. Given the current world scenario (Russia v. Ukraine) it may be a good idea to revisit Lenin (maybe?).
If you click on the “works” link, you’ll find his collected works, selective works, “all works” and so on. Unfortunately, the books can’t be downloaded. You must read them online.
Final words- Live dark web book links
Those were the 10 dark web book links which are live as of April 2022 and let you read and/or download books.
I’m sure a number of other similar dark web book sites exist as well. However, due to the nature of Tor links, it’s not very easy finding sites which have gained at least some reputation and trust.
Either way, I’ll sign off here. Go check these dark web book links and see if you can find what you seek.
